LKCS has recently received numerous design awards over the past few weeks from two different affiliations, Diamond Awards and Communicator Awards.
The 2010 Diamond Awards, sponsored by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA), recently honored First Northern Credit Union with the competition’s highest honor “The Diamond Award” for their quarterly newsletter Directions for the second year in a row. LKCS designs and prints the Directions newsletter.
The Diamond Awards is the premier design and marketing competition in the credit union industry, recognizing outstanding marketing and business development achievements. Awards are given in each of 34 categories ranging from advertising to community events and beyond. First Northern Credit Union, located in Chicago, IL., won the Diamond Award in the Newsletter & Magazine category/CU Asset Size $250 Million – $499 Million, which can be seen at https://www.cunamarketingcouncil.org/diamond2010/cat19.html.
“LKCS is extremely proud to share this award with First Northern Credit for the second year in a row. It proves our consistent dedication, hard work and talent we have in the Design Department. The Diamond Award is proof that LKCS provides preeminent marketing solutions for credit unions nationwide,” says Sid Haas, LKCS Vice President of Business Development.
LKCS was also a winner of The 2010 Communicator Awards. With over 7,000 entries received from across the US and around the world, the Communicator Awards is the largest and most competitive awards program honoring the creative excellence for communications professionals. They presented LKCS with its highest award, “Award of Excellence” in the Brochure – Company Overview category for their new corporate brochure. The company brochure was designed with a phone apps theme and tied it to their diverse marketing capabilities.
LKCS was also presented an honorable mention award, “Award of Distinction” in the Marketing/Promotion category for Space Age Credit Union’s welcome packet. The welcome packet featured a unique die cut and folds to conveniently organize print materials.
The Communicator Awards are judged and overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA), a 550+ member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to traditional and interactive media. Current IAVA membership represents a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms including: Condè Nast, Coach, Disney, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Estee Lauder, HBO, Monster.com, MTV, Polo Ralph Lauren, Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Victoria’s Secret, Wired, Yahoo!, and many others.
