For over 21 years, Pantone Color experts release a “Color of the Year” as a means to predict design trends for the coming year. This year, Pantone has announced PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray + PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating as the 2021 Colors of the Year.
2021’s choices are a marriage of color conveying a message of strength and hopefulness that is both enduring and uplifting.
“The union of an enduring Ultimate Gray with the vibrant yellow Illuminating expresses a message of positivity supported by fortitude. Practical and rock solid but at the same time warming and optimistic, this is a color combination that gives us resilience and hope,” described Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute.

Understanding the psychology of these colors can subtly influence your audience’s perception of you, and the campaign you are promoting.
Yellow delivers a sense of support, peace and cheer, which can positively lead your account holders to know their financial decisions are in good hands.
Gray serves as a bit of sophistication, and balances well with yellow to one down its brightness. Together, they are sure to liven your campaign!
