LKCS, a leading agency specializing in website design for banks and credit unions, has successfully launched a redesigned website for their client, Midland. Serving the Midwest with more than 50 branch locations, Midland’s new website reflects its revamped branding, “Brighter Together,” and prioritizes an improved user experience for personal, small business, and commercial banking customers.
The redesigned site addresses Midland’s need for better content organization, easier access to multiple online account logins, and an extensive resource center for current and prospective customers to filter through. It provides a seamless browsing experience with user-focused innovations and advanced functionality to meet the needs of all customer segments. LKCS developed prototypes to demonstrate the functionality and interactivity of each of the six unique page layouts, ensuring optimal usability before development.

Key Features of Midland’s Redesigned Website:
- Tailored Content Paths: Users can easily switch between personal, small business, or commercial sections, with each offering a content structure uniquely designed to meet distinct user needs.
- Comprehensive Resource Center: A centralized hub consolidates website pages, blog posts, and documents, helping users quickly access a wide range of information. A customized filtering system allows users to sort content by type or topic.
- Streamlined Login Access: A dedicated account login area enables customers to quickly select their desired account type for a smoother process.
- Custom Site Tools: The website includes custom widgets for easy backend management, and a customized banner manager for personalized homepage displays based on the sections of the website.
- Custom Form Creation: Using Formstack, Midland can create and add forms at any time. Each form is integrated with LKCS’ Tool Suite system. This gives Midland security over who can access form submissions and also allows them to assign a form to specific lenders and staff to follow up on.
The redesign is built on the Sitefinity content management system, replacing Midland’s previous Drupal CMS. Sitefinity empowers Midland staff to independently update and manage website content with ease, including forms, banners, and more.
One of the project’s biggest challenges—migrating more than 400 pages of content—was deemed a success thanks to collaboration and meticulous tracking by both Midland and LKCS teams. Prior to the launch, LKCS and Midland performed rigorous testing and a thorough review of all content, which ensured a smooth launch with no downtime. The launch was a complete success, and the new site delivered on its user experience goals right from the start.
