Blogging Your Way to the Top!

By on August 2nd, 2016 in Marketing

Are you looking for an easy way to get your company views on the web? At the risk of sounding like a cheesy infomercial… boy have I got a deal for you! With blogging, you can have the best of both worlds, you will quickly engage your audience, and do it in a way that is laid back and interesting to read. There are several ways you can use blogging to your advantage.

Be Passionate

Rule number one, if you enjoy what you are blogging about, it will show in your writing. If you aren’t interested in the topic you are writing about, there is a very small chance your readers will be excited about it either. If it is a topic you need to write about though, try coming at it from a creative angle to make it more exciting. For example, imagine you are writing a blog about student loans. Instead of merely listing the benefits of your loan product, it would be much more impactful to include a story of someone who used a student loan to achieve their dream to enter the workforce in their field.

Be Personal

Blogs can be informative, but it’s important not to be too uptight in your writing. What do I mean by uptight? Well, to be blunt, if it sounds like you are reading a textbook, most likely you will bore your readers and they will move on. One great way to combat this is to insert personal stories or story illustrations. These will brighten up your writing and create interest. Also, if you engage your audience this way, there is a higher possibility that they will remember you when they need the product or service you are providing.

Use Social Media

Once you have written your blog, it is important to promote it. A very easy way to do this is to post about it on social media platforms such as Facebook or Twitter. If you do this on a regular basis, you are more likely to see increased traffic to your blog.

Blogging is a cheap and easy way to get your name out there. If your blog has a reply feature, it is also a great way to get a conversation going with potential customers! So what are you waiting for? Get blogging!
